BPA Levels Soar…

…after eating canned soup, warns Karin Michels, ScD, PhD. Bisphenol A (BPA) is an endocrine-disrupting chemical that may increase risk for heart disease, diabetes and obesity.  BPA is used in the linings of many metal cans.  A recent finding found that people who ate just 12 ounces of canned vegetable soup every day for 5 days had more than 1,000% more BPA in their urine than people who ate soup made from fresh ingredients.
